The much-anticipated film ‘Yodha’, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani, and Raashii Khanna, has garnered positive reviews since its release. The movie showcases intense hand-to-hand combat scenes between Sidharth and Disha.
Speaking about his experience of performing physical action sequences with an actress, Sidharth Malhotra commented, “This is the first time I am doing hand-to-hand combat with an actress, and she is playing a very hard-core character. Disha is somebody who is extremely fit and agile. She practices kicks and punches regularly, so she is a tough cookie to crack.”
Disha Patani, who plays the character Laila in the film, expressed her excitement about portraying a negative role. She said, “The best part about playing Laila is that she is completely negative. Kicking in a saree was an iconic moment for me. We had so much fun physically fighting with each other.”
In terms of box office performance, ‘Yodha’ has added an additional Rs 1 crore to its total collection, bringing the overall earnings to Rs 26.25 crore.
The adrenaline-pumping action thriller revolves around Arun Katyal, the leader of an elite unit known as the Yodha Task Force, who embarks on a gripping rescue mission. Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan, the film promises an electrifying cinematic experience. An OTT platform has announced that ‘Yodha’ will be available for streaming after its theatrical release.
