Marvel Studios has announced the casting of Ralph Ineson (known for “The First Omen”) as Galactus in the upcoming film “The Fantastic Four.” This revelation comes shortly after news broke about John Malkovich joining the cast in an undisclosed role. The core ensemble includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (the Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (the Thing). Paul Walter Hauser and Julia Garner are also part of the cast in undisclosed roles.
Galactus, a pivotal character in Marvel Comics, was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and made his debut in 1966. Born from the essence of the cosmos, Galactus possesses immense power, including the ability to manipulate cosmic energy, alter reality, and consume the life force of planets.
“The Fantastic Four” will be directed by Matt Shakman (“WandaVision”) from a script by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. Kevin Feige is producing for Marvel Studios, with the film set to release on July 25, 2025.
Ineson, known for his role in “The Witch,” is currently starring in “The First Omen” and has projects lined up with filmmakers Robert Eggers and Guillermo del Toro.
